PLAYFUL PARENTING TECHNIQUES:
HELPING PARENTS THROUGH PLAY THERAPY
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
This workshop for beginning to intermediate level play therapists will discuss and demonstrate various playful interventions that clinicians can teach to parents in order to address different behavioral and other challenges children and families face. Interventions will include helping with time management, sibling rivalry, behavior charts/tracking, and focusing on the positive.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Learn at least 5 different ways to help children understand time.
- Learn at least 5 different ways to implement positive reinforcement behavior charts/tracking.
- Learn at least 5 different ways to help parents enhance their relationship with their children.

Continuing education credit for these events is co-sponsored by Michigan Play Therapy Training Academy and The Institute for Continuing Education. The programs offer 2.00 - 6.00 contact hours, depending on the schedule. Full attendance is required. The CE processing fee is $25.00 per event. Application forms will be available on site. Continuing education verification is mailed to participants following the training.
